You can reduce hand cramps, wrist pain, or thumb ache from saxophone playing with the RULON rest because it adjusts to fit any hand size, grip length, or saxophone type - so your hands can rest naturally against the sax.

  • No more hand cramps, wrist pain, or thumb ache while playing your saxophone!
  • Replaces the traditional saxophone thumb hook and adjusts to fit any size hand, thumb, or grip.
  • Works with all saxophones that uses a screw mounted hook, including soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, and baritone sax.
  • Helps you rest your thumb naturally against the saxophone and pivot faster to high E key and low C key.
  • Children with small hands use the RULON rest to shift the right hand and avoid bumping open side Bb or side C key.
  • Big hands with longer thumbs use the RULON rest to hold their sax in wider more relaxed grip, not cramped under the tight fitting traditional sax thumb hook.

    What rest finish sounds best?
We notice no sonic difference between any of the rest models. We do notice different feelings of vibration in the right thumb. These are ranked from least to most vibrant feeling: Plastic feels least vibrant, plated and raw brass feel neutral, and carbon fiber feels very vibrant.

What model saxes will this work with?
Fits a major and minor brand model saxes that use a screw mount hook, except Rampone & Cazzani saxes. A repair tech can quickly modify your rest to fit that make if you desire.
