Daniel Morera is one of the most prominent saxophonists in the Costa Rican music scene. A graduate in music with a focus on saxophone performance and teaching from the National University of Costa Rica, his career has flourished both nationally and internationally.

Since 2014, he has been the saxophonist for the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Fito Páez, Danilo Montero, Jarabe de Palo, Natalia Lafourcade, Elvis Crespo, Alberto Plaza and Vicente García. His talent has led him to perform on the country’s most iconic stages, including the National Theatre, the National Auditorium, the Melico Salazar Popular Theatre, the National Stadium, and Parque Viva, where he recently accompanied Mexican singer Alexander Acha.

Internationally, Daniel has shone as the saxophonist on Carlos Rivera’s “Un tour a todas partes” tour, performing in some of Latin America’s most prestigious venues, such as the National Auditorium of Mexico City and the Movistar Arenas in Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, and Buenos Aires. He has also shared the stage with music legends from Latin and Anglo scenes, including Juan Luis Guerra, Franco de Vita, Alejandro Sanz, Michael Bolton, and Air Supply.

In his educational role, Daniel dedicated 14 years to the National Music Education System of Costa Rica, where he played a key role in training future generations of musicians.
